    At the end of the tour you will visit the most famous Neolithic monument in the UK, Stonehenge. You will get time to explore on your own, walking around the stones and the exhibition.

    Firstly we visit the quirky village of Avebury which is built in the middle of a Neolithic stone circle. You will be given a guided tour on arrival and then left to explore the village on your own.

  • West Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury, United Kingdom
    Your Tour Manager will take you up a hill to see a 5000 year old Neolithic tomb. You can go inside this ancient burial site and see the mysterious Silbury hill across the valley. (Not suitable for wheelchairs.)

This was an excellent one day tour with a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide named Brendan. He had a wealth of knowledge about all three sites, and as he took us on a walk to each one, explained the history, the changes that the site had made to the landscape,and the time period during which it was constructed or added to. As well, his knowledge of English history and recents events allowed him to comment on the various districts and commercial areas we drove through on our way to and from each site. It was an enlightening and very enjoyable day even though the afternoon weather was inclement.
